American Film Market (AFM) Conference Series - Joseph Chianese led a panel entitled, "Building Your Global Film Financing Strategy" at the AFM Finance Conference on Friday, November 2, 2012, at 11:15 am. The panel discussed U.S. and international incentives and subsidies and how to monetize them, plus private equity and additional sources of financing from the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China) and other emerging markets. Connecticut Film Industry Training Program - EP Incentive Solutions' Scott Brant spoke on production accounting as part of the Connecticut Summer Film Industry Training Program at Quinnipiac University. By establishing a skilled in-state film workforce, the program hopes to provide an additional incentive to producers to select Connecticut as a location for film and television. In its fourth year, the program is designed for those who want to learn the basics of feature film and episodic television production and potentially pursue freelance work in the industry.
