PENNSYLVANIA
Governor Corbett's proposed budget calls for the film tax credit to continue despite a number of spending cuts. The proposed budget for 2011-2012 includes a $60,000,000 annual cap for the film tax credit. (See Pittsburgh Business Times 3/8/2011 and 3/8/2011.)

PUERTO RICO
Governor Fortuno signed Act No. 27 on March 4, 2011, expanding the 40% film tax credit based on payments to Puerto Rico residents to include an additional 20% credit for payments to non-resident talent. The law also expands the scope of qualifying projects, reduces the minimum spend to $100,000, and eliminates the former principal photography requirements. (See the Puerto Rico Film Commission.)
